STATE OF UTAH VS “D” – RAPE - 1ST DEGREE FELONY

Defendant was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a party in the bathroom. Victim claimed rape with multiple injuries. Defendant was facing prison time and he decided to take it to trial.  

VERDICT: NOT GUILTY AFTER TRIAL

STATE OF UTAH VS “A” – DUI, DRUG POSSESSION

Defendant was arrested and blew a .09 and possession of marijuana. After negotiations with the prosecutor, the client received a plea in abeyance.   

VERDICT: CASE DISMISSED

STATE OF UTAH VS “M” – DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER - 3RD DEGREE FELONY

Defendant was charged with 3rd degree felony domestic violence violation of a protective order. Facing prison time and he decided to take it to trial and he was acquitted. 

VERDICT: NOT GUILTY AFTER TRIAL

STATE OF UTAH VS “R” – 2nd OFFENSE DUI & DRUG POSSESSION

Defendant was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of prescription drugs. 

VERDICT: CASE DISMISSED AFTER NEGOTIATIONS WITH PROSECUTOR

STATE OF UTAH VS “R” – AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ABUSE OF A CHILD - 1st DEGREE FELONY

Defendant was charged with aggravated sexual abuse of a child.  Defendant was facing 15 years to life in Utah State Prison. After Months of fighting the case and gathering additional amounts of evidence the case was ultimately dismissed.  

VERDICT: CASE WAS DISMISSED

STATE OF UTAH VS “D” – DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSAULT

Defendant was charged with domestic violence assault. Defendant’s wife alleged domestic violence assault and made allegations against her husband. Through gathering additional evidence and months of due diligence case was dismissed by the prosecution.    

VERDICT: CASE WAS DISMISSED

STATE OF UTAH VS “S” – AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ABUSE OF A CHILD - 3RD DEGREE FELONY

Defendant was charged with aggravated sexual abuse of his stepdaughter.   After a two day trial, the defendant was found not guilty by jury.      

VERDICT: Not Guilty after trial

STATE OF UTAH VS “D” – DUI DRUGS

Defendant was charged with driving under influence with prescription drugs. He decided to take it to trial and after the evidence was presented the jury found the defendant not guilty.  

VERDICT: Not Guilty after trial

STATE OF UTAH VS “D” – AGGRAVATED KIDNAPPING & AGGRAVATED ASSAULT - 1ST & 3RD DEGREE FELONY

Defendant was accused of physically and sexually assaulting his girlfriend causing serious bodily injury.  Facing at least 15 years to life in prison, the defendant decided to take it to trial. After 4 days of trial defendant was found guilty of simple assault, a misdemeanor with no additional jail time.   

VERDICT: Not Guilty for any felonies after trial

STATE OF UTAH VS “B” – RAPE - 1ST DEGREE FELONY

Defendant was arrested and accused of raping a woman where there was a prior romantic relationship. After months of further investigation and evidence gathering the defendant plead guilty to misdemeanors and avoided prison and the sex offender registry. 

VERDICT: Plead Guilty to Misdemeanor

STATE OF UTAH VS “M” – AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - 3RD DEGREE FELONY

Husband and wife were involved in an altercation and police were called. Wife claimed that she was physically assaulted. Defendant was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence a 3rd degree penalty. 

VERDICT: CASE DISMISSED AFTER NEGOTIATIONS WITH PROSECUTOR

STATE OF UTAH VS “H” – AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - 3RD DEGREE FELONY

Boyfriend and partner were involved in a physical altercation. Boyfriend was accused of using a weapon. The defendant was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence a 3rd degree felony. 

VERDICT: CASE DISMISSED

STATE OF UTAH VS “A” – DUI, DRUG POSSESSEION, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON BY A RESTRICTED PERSON - 3RD DEGREE FELONY

Defendant was pulled over at a stop sign on suspicion of drunk driving and officers found he was in possession of drugs and an illegal firearm.   Client was facing up to 5 years in prison.    

VERDICT: FELONY GUN POSSESSION DISMISSED, PLEADED GUILTY TO IMPAIRED DRIVING, NO JAIL TIME.
